If you have acne, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, melasma, scars or an uneven texture or complexion, then you are a candidate for this peel. Enlighten Rx is safe for any skin type or color. You may treat strictly our face or your face, neck and chest.
The Enlighten Rx peel inhibits melanogenesis by paralyzing melanin production. It exfoliates the upper surface of the skin and is enhanced by lightening agents, and during the 2-step prescription peel that takes about 20-35 minutes your discolored pigmentation is brought to the surface, which increases cell turnover. The peel goes even deeper to inhibit further hyperpigmentation . The initial peel is applied to the face or body and will be left on for 8-12 hours. You will receive certain skincare products to use at home for the next 28 days.

Your providers at Wilson Aesthetics will be able to advise you on the peel that is right for you and create a treatment plan designed specifically for your individual needs.
There are about 2-3 days of downtime with the Enlighten Rx peel. Patients will experience redness and swelling and after the first 2 days, patients will continue to lightly flake for 1-2 weeks. During this time, the dead skin will flake away allowing for the reveal of new skin to come to the surface. Patients may also experience breakouts for 1-2 weeks. Because of the swelling and redness many patients elect to take the first two days off from work because they are uncomfortable with their initial appearance. Aside from this, there is no major downtime involved.
As a result of the Enlighten Rx peel, patients will see a smoother texture and more even complexion in general. There will be a reduction in the discolored spots, a reduction in the appearance of scars, a reduction in pore size, and an overall brighter look.
