What is PRP/PRF?
Platelet Rich Plasma, or “Liquid Gold” is the best treatment to trigger cell growth in the body. Your blood is drawn, placed in a centrifuge, and used for treatment. The amazing benefits of PRP can stimulate hair growth, diminish the appearance of scarring, encourage the body’s production of collagen, and much more.
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is the complex Fibrin Matrix that is full of Mesenchymal, leukocytes, platelets stem cells. The release of growth factors and interleukins continues for at least 10-12 days and speed-up the regeneration and healing processes. PRF is a 100% autologous rejuvenation treatment that is a step-up from PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma treatments when growth factors are used only for a few minutes after the therapy. PRP is all-natural. No coating, additive, or anticoagulant is present in the tubes, and it is proven to release a higher concentration of growth factors for longer.

Pre-care Instructions and Relative Contraindications:
This treatment depends highly on the patient’s level of hydration (patients need to start the hydration process 72 hours before treatment). Unfortunately, if you smoke you may have less success with this treatment.
No guarantees are that a specific patient will benefit from this procedure which is why a consultation is so important. Additionally, the nature of cosmetic procedures may require a patient to return for numerous visits to receive the desired results or to determine whether PRF may. No guarantees are made that the treatment will be effective at treating certain conditions. On average you will need about 3-4 treatment sessions done 4-6 weeks apart, and the results will not be visible for 4-9 months.

- Only 13-52cc of blood is drawn from our arm
- Blood tubes are centrifuged to separate the components.
- Mesenchymal stem cells, leukocytes, and platelets are separated in this procedure
- The platelets are transferred to a syringe and injected by a thin needle.

Results from PRP/PRF Treatments are expected to be long-lasting, though results may vary from person to person.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments varies from person to person, but on average, we recommend 3-4 treatment sessions separated by 4-6 weeks then 1-2 treatments per year for maintenance.
Will I need any downtime?
For injections, bruising and swelling is possible, plan 2 weeks ahead of any events/vacations.
For microneedling with PRP/PRF, recovery lasts from 1-2 days with reddened skin, small amount of peeling possible.
