Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Benefits for Women
A hormone imbalance in women can cause heavy, irregular, or uncomfortable periods, hot flashes, night sweats, indigestion, constipation, and diarrhea. Studies have shown that BHRT treats the root of these symptoms to promote relief as well as improved brain function, better mood, thicker hair, more restful sleep, upgraded muscle function, and higher bone density.
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Benefits for Men
The physical benefits a patient can get from the BioTE method of hormone replacement therapy depends on their individual needs. Some of the physical benefits men typically report experiencing as a result of testosterone treatments include increased lean muscle mass and tone, bone strength, thicker hair, improved focus and memory, increased energy and stamina, and even improved mood.
BioTE® Medical provides training on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy in the form of subcutaneous pellets. We offer training on two kinds of pellets: both estradiol and testosterone pellets. These pellets are inserted into the upper buttocks area during an in-office visit after testing has been done to determine the exact quantity of the hormone the patient requires. Every dose is custom created based on a consultation and extensive lab work to ensure that a patient receives the exact concentration of hormones needed.
Bioidentical hormones, such as the ones used in training by BioTE Medical, work with the chemistry of the body because they replicate the molecular structure of the hormones that normally occur within the body.
Pellets last three to six months depending on gender, weight, absorption rates, and the amount of deficiency or surplus of hormones present within the patient at the time of insertion. Pellets are reinserted between two to four times per year to help keep hormones optimized and balanced.

Yes, there are two major pellet therapy types: estrogen pellets and testosterone pellets.
During an in-office visit, a patient is brought into the exam room, and the insertion site, usually somewhere around the upper buttocks, is numbed. A small incision is made, and the hormone pellet inserted. After, the insertion site is covered with a small bandage. The pellet dissolves, and the body absorbs the contents, leaving nothing behind. Every patient’s symptoms are unique, so each journey is customized to fit your needs. Some patients report seeing improvement in as little as four weeks, but full optimization can take up to six months.
After the pellet-insertion process is complete, it’s best to eliminate lower body exercise for a short period of time. Walking is fine, but more strenuous exercise is not recommended. Showers are permitted, but bathtubs, hot tubs, and swimming should be avoided. After the bandage is removed, you can resume normal exercise and swimming routines. We deserve to feel better no matter what our age.
